BOHAI TRIMET operates three locations across Europe and China which supply a wide range of parts to automotive, electrical, and mechanical engineering customers around the globe. Each year, its Sömmerda site is responsible for producing around 3 million of them. 

At Sömmerda, StrikoMelter is at the heart of operations - feeding high quality molten aluminium to die casting machines working round-the-clock. 

So, when BOHAI TRIMET needed to have one of their primary StrikoMelter furnaces relined, they had one important question for us – “can you help us modernize and maintain sufficient melting capacity to meet customer obligations?”. The answer was "Yes"!

Bridging the gap and battling the bottlenecks

Tailorable to any existing hall layout, and with delivery including provision of a complete waste gas system, our rentable crucible furnaces offer customers a fast and flexible way to bridge production gaps during equipment maintenance and modernization projects. 

For BOHAI TRIMET, renting gas fired crucible furnaces enabled production to continue while their trusted StrikoMelter was fully relined by our service and engineering team. 

In fact, BOHAI TRIMET found the furnaces for the third time so flexible and easy-to-use that they now turn to StrikoWestofen’ s ‘melting capacity for rent’ service whenever they need to temporarily bolster operations during extremely busy periods. A delightful aspect of the situation is that following this construction project, there's already eager anticipation for the rental crucibles in Slovenia.
